Prep Time: 30-40Min      Chill Time: 2 Hours     Total Time:  2 Hours 30 Min
Servings: 16 Cake Pops

Ingredients:

  • 1Block of Cream Cheese
  • 1.5 Boxes of K-Toos GF Oreos
  • 2 Milka Chocolate  Bars for Melting
  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil

Topping:

  • Snyders GF Mini Pretzels
  • Reese’s Minis
  • GF Candy Eyes
  • GF Sprinkles
  • GF Red Gummy Noses
  • Any Other GF Candy to Decorate

Directions:

  1. In a large ziplock bag put your box and half of oreos inside and seal tightly. Smash the oreos so that there are no large pieces left and its finer like cookie dust.
  2. In a mixing bowl beat the cookie dust and block of cream cheese until its got a thick icing like texure. Not to runny that it wont mold but also not too thick.
  3. Take the mixture and roll into balls whatever size you would like your cake pops to be. Mine were about a inch and a half thick. Place in freezer for 20 minutes.
  4. While the balls are freezing make your chocolate that will cover your cake pops. I did white chocolate and milk chocolate. So with each chocolate bar I added 1/2 a tablespoon of oil and melted it in 30 second incriments, stirring periodically so that the chocolate doesnt seperate or burn.
  5. I got a few boxes from my freezer and prepped them so that I could stick my cake pops in them while they cooled and hardened. To do this cut small cuts in the box and just stick the sticks in them when I finished coating them in chocolate.
  6. Once the cake balls are firm,  pull them out of the freezer and coat them with chocolate by scooping chocolate over them with a spoon.
  7. Then stick the cake pops into the box so you can decorate them. Once upright decorate them to look like whatever you prefer. I made reigndeer, ornaments and snowmen.
  8. Once you finished decorating stick them in the freezer to harden fast. Mine set in about a hour to two.
  9. Pull out of freezer and wait a hour before eatting.

Subsitutions:

  • You can use different kinds of chocolate for melting to change the flavor of them.
  • You can sub out the K-Toos to regular ones or different brands of GF oreos. (If  you dont need it to be GF you could use mint oreos for a festive flavor)

Notes:

  • You can add some shredded coconut to make your white chocolate look more white OR you could even buy some edible white glitter to enhance the look of your cake pops.
  • If you dont want to bother with putting them on sticks you can make them into ‘truffles’ instead of cake pops. This process is easier to work with than putting them onto sticks.

Storage:

  • They last about 3-5 days after made.
  • This dessert freezes very well and can be made well in advance for christmas.
