Ingredients:
- De Ruijter Chocolate Hail (Its GF and can be found at Bens Meats
- Ariel Puffed Pastry Sheets
Topping:
- Icing Sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 Degrees F.
- Once your puffed pastry is thawed cut in half length wise.
- Add you chocolate hail to one half of your pastry strips.
- Fold your pastry in half now and pinch the edges to seal the chocolate inside.
- Bake on a cooking sheet in the oven for about 20 min and slightly golden in color.
- Once done sprinkle icing sugar on it and serve!
Substitutions:
- If you wanna use something other than the Chocolate hail you can sub out for chocolate chips or even chocolate spreads. Bens Meats carries the same Jumbo brand chocolate spread in different flavors such as pure milk chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate hazelnut and even a milk and white chocolate mix!
Notes:
- One package of Puffed Pastry makes about 6 Danishes.
- Thaw the puffed pastry by leaving out at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Make sure to pull them out of the package to thaw.
Storage:
- Leftovers last about 2 days give or take after making.
- To thaw the crust you can put it in the fridge overnight or about 12 hours before use OR you can leave out at room temperature for about 8 to 10 hours.
