Yeilds: 2 Baguettes Worth
Ingredients:
- 1 Package of GF Baguette (I used the Schar Brand from Bens Meats)
- 2 Cups Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
- 2/3 Cup of Mayonnaise
- 1/2 Cup of Sliced Almonds
- 6 Strips of Bacon Cooked and Diced (I used the Double Smoked Bacon from Bens Meats)
- 1 Green Onion Chopped
- Dash of Salt
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 400 Degrees F.
- Cut the baguettes into about 1inch slices.
- In a bowl combine the cheese, mayonnaise, almonds, bacon, green onion and salt.
- Toast the cut baguettes in the oven for about 3 minutes or until as crispy as desired.
- Now spread the mixture onto each of the baguettes generously.
- Toast in the oven again for about 5-10 minutes just until the mixture is melted.
- Top with and additional almonds and serve.
Notes:
- You can also cook this recipe in the airfryer. Just airfry for 3-5 mintutes.
- Make sure to check frequently on the Crostini as it cooks.
Storing:
- If you dont want to make all the garlic toast at once or you have leftover spread, the spread can store in the fridge up to 2 weeks if covered and stored properly.
